Anchor Stranded Cotton is a 6-strand embroidery thread made from premium extra-long Egyptian cotton fibers. Each of these 6 individual threads is double twisted. The practical put-up of the skein allows for easy removal of the desired embroidery thread length without having to fully unwind the skein. Thanks to its flexible thread division, Anchor Stranded Cotton is the most widely used embroidery thread with many applications in almost all embroidery techniques. Ideally suited for cross-stitch on fabrics of varying densities, but also for free embroidery, canvas work, and other counted embroideries. This thread achieves its special sheen, intense light reflection, and unique softness through the long Egyptian cotton fibers and a double mercerization process.
