Anchor Stranded Cotton is a 6-strand embroidery thread made from premium extra-long Egyptian cotton fibers. Each of these 6 individual threads is double-twisted. The practical presentation of the skein allows for easy removal of the desired embroidery thread length without having to unwind the entire skein. Due to its flexible thread division, Anchor Stranded Cotton is the most widely used embroidery thread with many applications in almost all embroidery techniques. Ideally suited for cross-stitch on various fabric densities, but also for surface embroidery, canvaswork, and other counted embroideries. This yarn achieves its special sheen, intense light reflection, and unique softness through the long Egyptian cotton fibers and a double mercerization process.
