Anchor Stranded Cotton is a 6-strand embroidery floss made from premium extra-long Egyptian cotton fibers. Each of these 6 individual strands is double-twisted. The practical presentation of the skein allows for easy removal of the desired length of embroidery floss without having to completely unwind the skein. Due to its flexible strand division, Anchor Stranded Cotton is the most widely used embroidery floss with many applications in almost all embroidery techniques. Ideally suited for cross-stitch on fabrics of varying densities, but also for free embroidery, canvas work, and other counted embroideries. This thread obtains its special luster, an intense light reflection, and unique softness from the long Egyptian cotton fibers and a double mercerization process. Anchor Stranded Cotton is available in an 8m skein presentation in beautiful plain colors as well as colorful multicolor shades.
