Anchor Stranded Cotton is a 6-strand embroidery floss, produced from premium extra-long Egyptian cotton fibers. Each of these 6 individual strands is double-plied. The practical presentation of the skein allows for easy removal of the desired embroidery floss length without having to fully unwind the skein. Thanks to its flexible thread division, Anchor Stranded Cotton is the most widely used embroidery floss with many applications in almost all embroidery techniques. Ideally suited for cross-stitch on fabrics of varying densities, but also for free-style embroidery, canvas work, and other counted embroideries. This yarn achieves its special luster, intense light reflection, and unique softness through the long Egyptian cotton fibers and a double mercerization process.
