Anchor Stranded Cotton is a 6-strand embroidery floss made from premium extra-long Egyptian cotton fibers. Each of these 6 individual threads is double-plied. The practical skein presentation allows for easy removal of the desired length of embroidery floss without having to completely unwind the skein. Thanks to its flexible thread division, Anchor Stranded Cotton is the most widely used embroidery floss with many applications in almost all embroidery techniques. Ideally suited for cross-stitch on fabrics of varying densities, but also for surface embroidery, canvaswork, and other counted embroideries. This thread achieves its special luster, intense light reflection, and unique softness through the long Egyptian cotton fibers and a double mercerization process.
