The Brother Innov-is VQ4 combines professional-level features such as a laser guide line, ultrasonic sensor pen, and electronic upper feed for perfect sewing results.

473 built-in stitch programs - from utility and quilting stitches to wide decorative stitches. If that's not enough, you can create your own stitches using the My Custom Stitch function on the large 7-inch LCD color screen.

With a 285 mm workspace and the included wide extension table, you can easily sew large quilts or other unwieldy items. The electronic upper feed sews thick layers of fabric and thin fabrics with equal ease. Great features like precision pivoting, automatic thread cutter, automatic needle threader, and central function buttons ensure many hours of sewing fun.

The laser guide line is the ultimate tool to help you sew exactly where you want to sew. The ultrasonic sensor pen eliminates the guesswork of where the needle pierces the fabric. It ensures that the stitch ends exactly where it should.

ICAPS
The automatic fabric sensor (ICAPS) of the Innov-is VQ4 continuously senses the fabric thickness while sewing and automatically adjusts the presser foot pressure. This makes the stitch and seam appearance even neater and more uniform.

Ultrasonic Sensor Pen
Ultrasonic sensor pen for perfect stitch placement with laser guidance, setting stitch width and stitch position, and defining the area where the machine should stop.

Clear and Large Color Display
See everything you want to adjust or control at a glance – this is made possible by the clear and extra-large, colorful touchscreen. Absolutely user-friendly, from stitch options to function and language selection to video tutorials and guides, everything appears on the comfortable display as desired – you are the initiator.
A single touch is enough to select stitches and customize settings on the clear color display with a wide viewing angle. With a size of 92 x 153 mm and 260,000 colors, all displays are clearly visible.

Seven-Point Feed Dog
Additional teeth ensure better fabric guidance and thus higher stitch quality.

Knee Lift
Your hands remain on the fabric. Lower and raise the presser foot with a light knee press. Ideal for large items, such as when quilting. 3 positions for more comfort.

Select Presser Foot Height

No matter what type of stitch you prefer: here you have the freedom to design your own – with the "My Custom Stitch™" function, you create your own stitches easily directly on the touchscreen display.

Practical Central Function Buttons
For convenient operation, all function buttons are centrally arranged together.
• Presser foot button – raises the presser foot for you.
• Thread cutter – automatically cuts the upper and lower threads.
• Needle position button – raises or lowers the needle.
• Reverse sewing/locking – automatically sews four locking stitches.
• Sews straight and zigzag stitches slowly backward.
• Illuminated start/stop button – red/green light indicates whether the machine is ready to sew.
• Point stitch locking

Upper and Lower Thread Monitor

Independent Bobbin Winding
The separate bobbin winder drive allows you to wind the bobbin without interrupting the sewing process.

Quick Bobbin Insertion

Multifunction Foot Controller
In addition to the foot pedal, you have another pedal. Various functions such as needle position up/down, thread cutter, 1-stitch sewing, and reverse sewing can be programmed via the pedal and the heel switch of the main pedal.
