Special features of the leather needle:

• The cutting point LL (leather left twist point) allows for easy penetration into leather and similar homogeneous materials due to its cutting action. It also creates an inclined stitch position, giving the seam a decorative character.
• Caution: Due to their cutting action, leather needles are NOT suitable for textiles, as woven or knitted threads can be cut during sewing.
• Choose a longer stitch length to prevent seam tearing. When backstitching, make sure that the sewing thread is not cut.
• Tips: The longer the stitch length, the more noticeable the inclined position of the stitches and thus the decorative effect of the seam. This effect can be further enhanced by using a thick sewing thread. Only partially suitable for soft imitation leather: try the Microtex needle first, as the backing material may otherwise be damaged and holes may tear out more easily.
