The SCHMETZ Super Stretch needle sits closer to the hook due to a special flat shank, which makes it easier for the hook to pick up the needle thread loop. This feature prevents skipped stitches even on highly elastic fabrics. The special blade design ensures less needle breakage and particularly straight stitches. Due to the larger eye in combination with the widened groove, you can use the Super Stretch needle with thicker sewing threads. This puts less stress on the threads and prevents them from breaking.
The medium ball point is suitable for all types of knitwear because it pushes the stitches aside, thereby preventing damage to the material. You can easily and quickly identify this needle as a special needle by the white color ring on the cone of the Super Stretch needle.
You can use the Super Stretch needle in all household sewing machines that require the 130/705 H needle system, as well as in some overlock machines (you can find information on this in your operating instructions). Due to its properties, the Super Stretch needle is an alternative to the Stretch needle if you want to sew with thicker sewing threads.
