Special features of the round shank needle:

The round shank needle is very versatile. It sews almost all woven fabrics, regardless of their material composition, and even soft, thin leather and imitation leather are unproblematic to process.

The round shank of this needle has a smaller diameter of 1.63 mm than the flat shank of common household sewing machine needles. The special shaft design ensures high needle stability, thus reducing needle breakage and skipped stitches.

The round shank needle is an industrial sewing machine needle that is also suitable for certain household sewing and overlock machines. These special needles are adapted to the requirements of the respective machine model and are not interchangeable with other household or overlock needles. Therefore, please check your operating manual to see if your machine is suitable for one of the following needle systems: 287 WH, 1738, DBx1, SY 2270, 16x251 or 16x231.
