The thinnest needle tip (1.3 mm) is suitable for a maximum of 3-ply embroidery thread (yarn thickness 0-1), the medium needle tip (1.6 mm) for a maximum of 4-ply embroidery thread (yarn thickness 1-2), and the thickest needle tip (2.2 mm) for 6-ply embroidery threads and thin wool yarns (yarn thickness 2-4, e.g., sock yarn). The desired stitch depth or loop length can be precisely selected on the needle itself using the scale, thus creating three-dimensional levels almost automatically depending on the setting.
